Businesses in California can receive rebates or tax credits for installing electric vehicle (EV) charging stations on their premises. The state’s Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) program provides rebates to businesses that install Level 2 or DC fast charging stations. Companies must register with the LCFS program and follow the program’s rules to receive the rebate. The rebate amount depends on the type of charging station and the location of the business. The rebate can cover up to 100% of the installation costs for Level 2 chargers and up to 75% for DC fast chargers. Additionally, businesses may be eligible for a federal tax credit for up to 30% of the installation cost of an EV charging station.
